Darcey Span

Growing up in a Christian home with a father who would bring home mute hitchhikers for dinner; only to reveal their miraculous vocal chord healing with a "May I have more pie, please?" question to my wide eyed mother, made me suspicious of anyone that came into my life.
Education ran rampid in my family. My grandmother was a high school English teacher, my father a special education teacher, and my first husband a Spanish teacher. I was destined to follow along the same worn path.
Along this journey I was blessed with three of my own beautiful children, one ugly divorce, one torrid lesbian love affair, a second marriage to my childhood friend, and two forgiving step children.
15 years in education have shown me that you need to have a sense of humor and realize that we are all doing the best that we can.
