My name is April Green. I am 30 years old and i work as an accountant for a small software company called Keap. I've been there for about 3 years now and its great. I am enjoying getting some business experience under my belt although It's not where I want to see myself in the next 5 years. In my younger years I was a big fan of choir and drama class. I used to aspire to be a singer/song writer.
I unfortunately did not go to college. Life was not able to get me there financially. I don't have much of a support system and have always been on my own. However, I will say that I am still impressed by myself on being able to land an accounting position with no schooling. I believe this is due to my ability to learn and adapt quickly. I am a very laid back, go with the flow, kind of person which makes it easy to handle high levels of stress. Although the negative side to that is that i am not a very assertive person and will take a lot of crap that I probably shouldn't.
My inspiration behind the idea happened while i was dating my ex. We loved going out to explore. We were adventure buddies. We used to find a lot of what we called "portals" on our adventures. We made sure anytime there was some sort of natural arch in our path to go through it. We imagined it took us to a different world or dimension where it was just us and the amazing things we saw on our way. We made sure to always come back through the "portal" in order to cross back to reality. We deemed ourselves Louis and Clark. I have tried to loosely base the characters on us. When I finally realized what the concept of the show should be I started writing. I have no experience so I'm sure there are a ton of improvements to be made.
I'm hoping to either just sell the idea/concept or be brought on as a writer as well. I have no connections for illustration, productions, or anything like that.
