Hi, my name is Fran Pitre and I'm a singer/songwriter, graphic designer, very happy wife, mom of 3 amazing sets of twins, and the author of the book "TWINS x3”, and of “TWINS x 3, 10-Year-Anniversary”.
Originally from upstate New York, I met my husband Bruce while both teens living in south Louisiana, and after living in Northern Virginia just outside of Washington DC for several years, we settled in Jacksonville, FL where we are raising their six children, who all arrived in sets of two. Our twin girls were born in Washington DC in Dec 1994; our boy/girl set were born in Jacksonville in Oct 1999; as were our twin boys in Oct 2007. Before starting a family, I pursued my career as a graphic designer in the field of advertising and enjoyed a design position with a global corporation headquartered just outside of Washington DC. Being actively involved in music since childhood, I sang and recorded with a DC-based alternative rock band. Later, a stay-at-home/work-from-home mom while our children were young, I operated a freelance design business, and wrote and published my book “TWINS x 3” in 2009, and started an informational and support blog for parents of multiples.
In 2017, when the youngest set of twins reached the age of 10, I became professionally involved in music again, and have since performed several times in New York City at the invitation of a fellow-musician and friend, and in Northeast Florida with my band called Fran Pitre & Class Act. I co-write, produce and publish original music with a Jacksonville-based musician/composer/arranger. I released my first album in the fall of 2018, and just released my second album entitled “Follow Your Dreams” on Nov 1, 2020.
In 2019, I wrote and published “TWINS x3, 10-Year-Anniversary” updating my readers on all that has happened since 2009. I'm currently creating the author-read audio book version of my book.
